Son de Huesos explores musical territories where few dare to investigate, that Mexico where Mysticism abounds, Witchcraft as well as the quasi-shamanic occultism that permeates the bowels of the “Mictlán” abysses. His first EP "Curado de Espanto" was released in Mexico in 2008 and was made in a primitive way trying to capture the sound of the esoteric cumbia of the neighborhoods. The recordings were lost and were submerged and forgotten in time until 2015 when the project traveled to give some shows in Europe, in cities like London, France, Belgium and Germany. The project was resumed in 2018 and the old lost ''Ep'' was officially published. Over the years the project underwent various evolutions incorporating electric guitars, organs, bass and Latin percussion, leaving behind the solo project and becoming a band releasing 3 singles, ''Dabucuri'', ''Toquesitos'' and ''Productos Esotéricos''. The band has remained active and on May 25, 2021 they release their first studio album ''Cumbia Oculta'' which leads them to give several live performances in Hamburg, Germany. The band quickly took to the studios to publish the next album ''Armonía de las Esferas'', released on September 24, 2021, follows the clear line of the first recordings. incorporating soundtracks, Fuzz tints and surf music.
the visual environment is something characteristic of their live performances based on the dramatic interpretation of magic and sorcery, dressed in skeleton shirts and tunics paying homage to Santa Muerte, Santísima Muerte or Muerte, which is a popular Mexican figure that personifies the death and is worshiped. Rites with Santa Muerte are usually associated with rituals and spells, having a more esoteric component. After going through some evolutions the band released their studio ''EP'' ''Instruments of Horror'' interpreting horror classics from the 60s released on November 24, 2021. Son de Huesos takes the everyday sounds of that Aztec Mexico He cleanses it with rue and copal so that the skeleton shakes off the bad vibes to that rhythm of Latin American cumbia with a unique and desolate touch.
